Synopsis
This is the second part of our Basic Arabic series of four courses (Parts A - D). By the end of the fourth course students should be able to read an Arabic text, whether classical or modern, with the aid of a suitable dictionary.
This second part begins with a look at the possessive construction, and then focuses on pronouns and non-regular noun declension. Detached pronouns will already have been covered in Arabic Grammar - Part A; this part now covers the attached pronoun table, demonstrative pronouns and relative pronouns. We then cover various irregular Arabic nouns (such as the five nouns), and also take a look at the different types of questions and how to form them.
