Beauty = جَمَالٌ
The word for “beauty” in Arabic is جَمَالٌ (jamaal). It indicates both physical beauty and beauty in character. The difference between this and حُسْنٌ is that the latter, when it is used for physical beauty, refers to the beauty of the face, i.e. for someone who is handsome, whereas جَمَالٌ is used for the body. مَلاَحَةٌ , which also means beauty, is the most general, and includes the beauty of both the face and the rest of the body.
