Plural أُمَّهَات


وَإِذْ قَالَ اللّهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ أَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنّاسِ اتّخِذُونِي وَأُمّي إِلَٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ And behold! God will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, ‘Worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God’?” – Quran 5:116

The Arabs have a saying: ثَكِلَتْكَ اُمُّك may your mother be bereft of you, which was also used by the Prophet (sws); the intended meaning is not an imprecation against the one addressed, but rather is said on an occasion of showing affection and love!
